Rebuilding Lives, Ending Homelessness!

Holidays

Oh, the joy of whispering what you want to dear ol’ Santa Claus

Making the Holidays Special

The holidays can be a stressful time for families experiencing homelessness. At Hamilton Family Center, we do everything we can to make it a time of celebration. There will be parties, field trips, activities, and beautifully wrapped gifts for the whole family. And this only happens with the support of literally thousands of passionate, caring individuals in our community. Every one who donates a toy, jacket, comforter, gift card, or baked good communicates to our families that they are seen and have value. Thank you for being part of this tremendous community effort!! There will be a lot of smiling faces around here.

How You Can Help

Make an In-Kind Donation

Hamilton Family Center relies on the generosity of its community for in-kind donations of gifts and other much needed items. Groups have already committed to providing gifts for each of the children we serve; however, we are looking for people to provide the following:

·Gift cards for $25 to Lucky’s or Safeway for Holiday meals for recently re-housed families

·Gift cards to Target or Ross for $25 so families transitioning from homelessness into homes can purchase move-in supplies – or donate pot / pan sets, twin sheet sets, blankets or towels.

·We need lots of wrapping paper, gift tags, tape and ribbon to make all these presents look fabulous for the kids!

·Donate a gift card to a local movie theatre to be raffled off to a family in one of Hamilton’s programs.

· We would love to provide each child with warm mittens and a hat

·Doing some shopping on Amazon.com?  Check out our wishlist. Items purchased from here will be shipped directly to Hamilton Family Center and distributed to families.

Download our convenient toolkits to learn how you can turn your party into a donation / collection event to benefit homeless families and children or contact dwilber@hamiltonfamilycenter.org for more information.

Shop at Amazon Smile and Amazon will donate 0.5% of every purchase to the charity of your choice. Please select HFC and share with your network. Make shopping more enjoyable, knowing that you’re giving to a good cause while you shop.

Shop at Pottery Barn

Another way to shop and give. Every year, Pottery Barn picks specific items, the purchase of which benefits their Give a Little Hope Campaign. Hamilton Family Center is one of the agencies nationwide who receive a percentage of the purchase. This year, you can purchase items from this list as yet another way to support our work.
